This is specific racism I’m talking about here is anti-Black racism and appropriation.

Although I am a PoC, I am not Black. I cannot adequately argue for Black people. If I know enough about the topic being argued, I will contribute, but most of the time, I cannot or choose not to because of two things:

1. I do not know the subject well enough
2. Someone else can explain it better

Therefore, instead of butting in, I will wait for someone who does know, more often than not a Black person, to respond.

I feel that for all non-Black PoC’s that this is the best course of action. You cannot speak for their experiences and they cannot speak for ours. However, all of us can speak for the issues that affect PoC’s as a whole and from what we learn from each other.
